The National Design & Innovation Competition (NDIC) is Design Week Lagos’ nationwide talent discovery initiative, created to identify, celebrate, and support the next generation of Nigerian designers and innovators. Open to students, emerging professionals, and young creatives from across the country, NDIC challenges participants to develop innovative solutions that address real-world challenges through design, creativity, and technology. Finalists present their work before an expert jury comprising industry leaders, academics, entrepreneurs, and practitioners, gaining valuable exposure, mentorship, and opportunities for further development. NDIC serves as a platform for discovering exceptional talent while strengthening Nigeria’s growing design ecosystem through innovation, collaboration, and creative excellence. Participants will strengthen their creative thinking, technical skills, professional practice, and entrepreneurial capabilities while working closely with mentors and industry experts. The programme is designed to prepare the next generation of designers and innovators with the knowledge, confidence, and networks needed to build impactful careers within Nigeria and beyond.
